CapeMog is the Western Cape register of the South African Morgan Owners’ Group (SAMOG) that in turn is affiliated to the Morgan Sports Car Club.
The objective of this register is to promote the pleasure of driving Morgans through the social interaction of owners and their families and to this end we organise regular social events in and around Cape Town and an annual six-day rally in the Western Cape that is open to members.
Membership of CapeMog is open to all Morgans and to those who are currently not owners of a Morgan, but have an avid interest in the marque.
We are a friendly, inclusive group of enthusiasts and their partners who have made the discovery that life can be lots more fun with a Morgan. We keep formality to a minimum and we use our club to support and enhance our enjoyment of having the privilege of owning examples of a true British sports car.
Our members and their cars
Our Morgans range from a 1918 Grand Prix 3 wheeler to a 2019 Aero 8 series 5 (the last Aero), with 4-, 6- and 8-cylinder 4 wheelers in between. Our membership is spread throughout South Africa and other countries, including France, Germany, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Australia.
Membership gives you immediate access to a network of people who understand what it means to own a Morgan and who are always willing to share their expertise.
